Our qualitative and relational requirements have not changed. We have improved and adapted them to continue to receive you with kindness and conviviality.
We are Charles and Géraldine, franco-british and we are lucky enough to be taking over La Dixmeresse which has been run so well by Bruno and Valérie for the last 10 years. With our son Rémy, we are doing everything we can to be able to welcome you from February 2025.
You will be able to choose one of our 5 rooms with breakfast included or one of our two gîtes – one for 2-4 people and the other with 4 double bedrooms – all in the heart of the village of Restigné, classed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We also have a reception room for off-site meetings, team building activities or trainings.
SO MUCH TO SEE
We are in the heart of the Loire wine region of Bourgueil and its neighbours, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Chinon and Vouvray as well as being surrounded by many sites to visit such as the Loire Châteaux, Fontevraud or Seuilly Abbeys, the villages of Candes-Saint-Martin, Montsoreau or Crissé/Manse, the troglodyte mushroom farms , the zoos of la Flèche and the Bioparc of Doué-la-Fontaine, but also the banks of the Loire. We are spoilt for choice.
At the end of the day, you can relax with Géraldine’s cooking, sourced locally (and when possible from our vegetable garden) accompanied by a selection of wines from the region in our cellar.
IMMERSED IN HISTORY
La Dixmeresse is three buildings – the mansion (1834) which hosts the guest house and was renovated in 2014, the farmhouse (18th century) comprises of the two gîtes and the reception room, renovated in 2024 and finally the main house which is an old tithe barn built in 1476, testament to the region’s history and architecture.
Since 2014, Bruno and Valérie hosted more than 6,000 people at La Dixmeresse. We, Charles, Géraldine and Rémy, look forward to welcoming many more in the years to come…
Between Tours and Angers, near Bourgueil, Langeais, Azay-le-Rideau, Chinon and Saumur, you are unless 30mn of many visits of castles, abbeys and famous houses. Vineyards and know-how of the wine growers allow the discovery of 5 AOC. Stands or by bicycle rent, numerous strolls are to be made at the heart of Natural Touraine and on the edges of the Loire classified in the UNESCO world heritage.
